He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife Jean, parents Sigmund Ratajek and Carolyn Johnson, siblings Robin, David (Rebecca), Jason, and James (Gina) Ratajek, brother-in-law Kristopher (Lynn) Kokal, sister-in-law Mary (Jeff) Washechek, best friend and brother Todd Brown and many nieces and nephews.
