Joyce Kuske (Andler)

Obituary:
Joyce P. Kuske, 51 year old resident of rural Pierz, MN passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at her residence. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Grace Covenant Church in Little Falls, MN, at 11 a.m.., with Rev. Greg Satterberg officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Caring for Joyce and her family is the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Little Falls. Joyce had requested no flowers to be sent. Instead, please send donations to either the Voice of Martyrs, or Charity Water. Joyce Paula Andler was born on February 11, 1970, to Peter Theodore Andler and Mary Lou Andler in Duluth, MN. She graduated from Central High School in Duluth, MN. Joyce attended the Lake Superior College Fond da Lac Law Enforcement program, graduating in 2000. She was united in marriage to Paul Martin Kuske, on June 28, 2002. From 2001 to 2020, Joyce was a Minnesota Conservation Officer. She was stationed in Little Falls, MN, and also spent 4 years working in the divisions training and education section at Camp Ripley. Joyce loved running with her shepherd dogs, Herc and Reggie, reading, BWCA girl trips, cooking healthy foods for her family and friends, and was always looking to do something nice for someone. Raising her boys was also one of her most favorite things to do. Joyce actively supported the Voice of Martyrs, and the Water Charity. She was always looking for that stray person to make friends with. Joyce will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Joyce is survived by husband, Paul of 19 years; sons, Caleb and Grant; sisters, Julia Mary Lucente (Andler); parents, Peter and Mary Lou Andler; mother-in-law, Virginia Kuske; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Mike Moreno; niece and nephew, Ally and Jing.

Johnnie Bryant Jr.

Obituary:
Johnnie Bryant Jr., 48, of Rochester, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at his home.

A visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Peace United Church of Christ in Rochester. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Beth Rogers will officiate. Rochester Cremation Services is handling the arrangements. (507-206-4449)

Johnnie was born Sept. 17, 1969, in Duluth. He was raised by his grandmother, Ruth. He graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1988 and was part of the track team, where he went to state and set track records. He then attended UMD, where he again set many track records and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in health education.
He lived for a short time in the Philippines and in Tampa, Fla. It was during his time in Tampa, he found his love for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He coached track and football at John Marshall and RYFA and was a Cub Scout leader. Johnnie adored his kids and loved watching them play sports. He loved fishing, running, listening to classical, soul and funk music, nature and especially Whitewater State Park. Two things the world should know about “Johnnie B” are, he was extremely proud of his kids and he always dressed to the nines.
Johnnie is survived by his children, Kenyatta and Keondre Bryant of Rochester; brothers, Jami Bryant of Duluth and Michael Bryant of Wrenshall; Rebecca; and many nieces, nephews, aunt, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clearance and Ruth McDuff; and aunt, Barb.

Adrian Carter died in a house fire, along with his girlfriend and his girlfriend's son, who was 4. His funeral was on May 10th, 2008 at the Copper Top Church in Duluth, MN.

Fellow classmate Kelly Conley-Myers died unexpectedly on Saturday November 28, 2009 in a Spanish Town.

She is survived by her husband- Berkie Myers, her parents- Jim and Sandi Conley of Eau Claire Wis., her brothers- James (Beth) of St Paul and Peter (Heidi) of Cleveland, Ohio, and a very special nephew- Troy Conley.

Kelly loved life and was known for her smile. She touched so many people's hearts. Once you met her, you never forgot her, she was a truly genuine "one and only". Pages could not describe her good qualities. She loved her creator, Jehovah, more than anything else. This love made her strong and anchored her. She truly believed in John 5:28, "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."   Kelly believed in a resurrection to a paradise earth until then, rest in sleep our precious one.

     Richard W. 'Dick' Forbort, 72 of W. Buffalo St. died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008 at his home. Dick was born April 24, 1935 in Duluth to Walter and Edna (Carlson) Forbort.

     Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Edna and his two sisters, Jan Forbort and Nancy Peterson. Dick is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Gary (Natalie) Forbort of Irvine, Calif., Scott (Sonja) Forbort and Keith (Mary) Forbort both of Duluth; daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Cerkvenik of Shoreview, Minn.; grandchildren, Derek, Nick and Jack Forbort and Mark, Laura and Eric Cerkvenik and his sister, Joanne (Arthur) DeRosier of Duluth; many nieces and nephews and many, many caring friends, former students and athletes. Mary Elsenrath (Graves)

Mary was a member of St. Mary star of the Sea Church, she loved anything that was French; she had a tremendous love of art, traveling to Paris to study French Art History, watercolor painting, art galleries, museums, art festivals, and a love of nature.

In her family's words, Mary loved pontoon boat rides on Schultz lake; relaxing on her sun porch; always putting others before herself; one of the most caring, loving person; touching many with her smile and grace; gentle, compassionate, giving, selfless, dignified, faithful, strong faith and detail orientated.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jonathan Sande and the Oncology Dept at Essentia Health Clinic Duluth, St. Mary's 3rd floor oncology, St. Mary's Hospice and Solvay Hospice House for their loving and compassionate care of Mary.

In Mary's words, "she witnessed God's love in her family, friends, art and Nature." She will be greatly missed.

Wendy Sue Webb-Harrington, 51, passed away unexpectedly at home in Eau Claire, WI. September 14, 2021.
She was born in Duluth, MN. The youngest of 4 daughters to William & Shirley Harrington.
Wendy attended Central High School and graduated in 1988. She married Christopher Webb in 1994. They relocated to Eau Claire, WI. in 1999. She worked for Excel Energy for more than a decade. Wendy attended college at CVTC & Lakeland earning her degrees, (Associates & Bachelors) , in Business Management.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Christopher Webb of Eau Claire; Ann Marie (Daniel) Doud, daughter; William Webb, son; grandbabies, Andrew & Jackson Doud; Shirley Harrington, mother; and sisters, Roberta Harrington; Cynthia Kay Harrington; Darnell (John) Lane.
Wendy will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, friend, and NANA! We will miss her infectious laugh, her beautiful smile, and her devotion of putting everyone’s needs first.
