Event Payment
This is a “One-Nighter Event” located at the Greysolon, upstairs in “The Ballroom”. This event locale allows the many traveling from outside Duluth to stay downtown in nearby hotels, walk to the event, check out “The Lake Walk”, walk down to the Canal Park area, all either before and after the event.
Keep in mind putting on these events requires all attendees to RSVP so, that we have appropriate numbers to pay for the rental of the facility including ordering/paying for and providing the adequate quantity of food, beverages, waiters, waitresses, bartenders, tables, chairs, linens, etc. to allow for a successful event.  Without proper numbers of classmates and RSVPing that includes completing the payment, we are not able to properly order the required food/drinks/servers, etc.  This causes long lines at the bar and inadequate food for those that RSVP’d. 
NOTE: Others have suggested performing a “bar take over”.  However, attempting to perform a SURPRISE bar-take-over usually ends up with long lines at the bar and inadequate food since, the bar is not prepared for 100-250 patrons all showing up unexpectedly.  Plus, this means you do not have full control of your own area, getting the bartenders attention may be difficult due to inadequate staff resulting in long lines and frustrated classmates.  This also, means we have no control over the cost since, nothing is pre-negotiated with the facility on pricing. Plus, if we choose to then, order appetizers we have no control over whom in the facility can eat them let alone whom is paying for them.  Therefore, please commit to the event, RSVP, and complete the online payment so, we can provide a fun-filled and successful combined Class of 1988/87 event.
